A hometown hero's homecoming
Three-time Stanley Cup champion and South County’s very own Pat Maroon paid a visit to his alma mater at Oakville High School, donning an OHS hockey jersey in September 2021. Maroon won his third Stanley Cup championship this year with the Tampa Bay Lightning, after winning with them in 2020, and of course helping propel the St. Louis Blues to their very first Stanley Cup in 2019.

Everyone safe after fire destroys Affton chemical plant
Officers from the St. Louis County Police Department redirect traffic on Heege Road after a chemical fire at the Manor Chemical Company in Affton closed a portion of Heege for part of the afternoon April 29, 2021. One firefighter was injured while fighting the fire.
