Howdy, I'm Erin
As a news reporter and editor with a passion for storytelling, I'm seeking my next adventure and open to both full-time positions and freelance projects.
Originally from Phoenix, raised in Dallas, and now based in St. Louis, I honed my communication skills at the University of Missouri School of Journalism, covering the Midwest for the Columbia Missourian and KMZU.
After graduation, I worked as the statehouse intern with St. Louis Public Radio, covering the 2018 Missouri General Assembly at the state Capitol. I reported on groundbreaking legislation and breaking news like the governor's resignation, loving every minute of it.
In September 2018 I was hired on as the staff reporter and photographer at the St. Louis Call, a hyperlocal weekly newspaper. As the sole full-time staffer, I covered everything from politics, local government, education, crime, sports breaking news, human interest stories and so much more. Two and a half years later, I was promoted to executive editor, managing the daily editorial operations and producing a 12 to 24-page weekly print newspaper while still reporting on various topics.
When I'm not chasing down the latest scoop, you can find me tending to my ever-growing collection of house plants, indulging in a bit too much espresso or rollerskating along one of the many local bike trails in the area.
